Part-Time Student Status

Tutte le informazioni per lo studente che si vuole iscrivere a tempo parziale
Part-Time Student Status
Under Article 34 of the Student Regulations (please refer to the full regulation for further details), students who are unable to fully dedicate their time to academic studies may apply for part-time enrollment, following a study plan that provides for a lower number of ECTS credits (CFU) per academic year than the standard curriculum for their degree program. This results in an extended duration of study.
For example:
- A 3-year bachelor’s degree may be extended to 6 years with an average of 30 CFU per year;
- Or to 4 years with an average of 45 CFU per year, and so on.
The agreed part-time duration may not exceed twice the standard length of the degree program.
Part-time enrollment is not available to students who are already beyond the standard duration of their program (“fuori corso” students).
Each application is submitted to the relevant Degree Program Council, which will evaluate and decide on the request.
Once assigned, part-time status is final and cannot be converted back to full-time.
Failure to complete the study plan within the agreed timeframe and terms will render the agreement null and void and will retroactively result in:
- the reassignment to full-time student status;
- the student’s enrollment is adjusted to the academic year corresponding to the standard duration of the program, including any “fuori corso” years accrued.
How to Apply
For the 2024/2025 academic year, applications for part-time enrollment must include a proposed personalized study plan and be submitted between September 2 and December 16, 2024, either:
- in person at the Student Services Office, or
- via email to: ufficio.protocollo@unisannio.it
Students enrolling in the first year of a two-year Master’s program may submit their application up until March 31, 2025.
Important: Applications can only be submitted after payment of the first tuition instalment for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Before applying, it is highly recommended to discuss and finalize the personalised study plan with the relevant academic department.
Tuition and Fees
The annual all-inclusive tuition fee (excluding regional tax and stamp duty) is reduced by 30%, taking into account the student’s eligibility under the “no tax area” provisions.
Students are required to pay the full first installment by the set deadlines. Any overpayment will be reimbursed after the study plan is approved by the Degree Program Council and the fees are recalculated accordingly.
Note: If the student does not complete the degree within the agreed timeframe, the right to the fee reduction will be lost.
