NUVOLE is the UNISANNIO center created in collaboration with the Benevento Local Health Authority (ASL), based on a specific memorandum of understanding, aimed at promoting the mental and physical well-being of students and addressing psychological and emotional distress that can lead to academic delays or dropouts.

What is the goal of the program?
The program aims to provide a structured, ongoing, and free psychological support service through the joint implementation of two approaches:

• Stepped care: interventions of varying intensity tailored to the specific needs of students.
• Collaborative care: based on cooperation between the University and the local ASL.

Who is it for?
The service is completely free and open to all UNISANNIO students, including PhD candidates and participants in international mobility programs.

What kind of issues can be addressed?
The center is designed to support students in:

✅ Processing and managing psychological and emotional difficulties during their studies
✅ Improving study planning and organization, time and energy management, and increasing motivation in learning
✅ Coping with academic stress, emerging anxiety or depressive symptoms, and internal conflicts related to identity development
✅ Strengthening autonomy and awareness of personal resources to overcome difficulties and avoid delays or dropout

How does the service work?
Psychological support begins with access to the Psychological Counseling Service, which offers brief, focused interventions, active listening, guidance, and psychological support.

The service includes:
📍 Individual sessions (1 to 6 meetings)
📍 Follow-up meetings to monitor progress and assess the need for continued support

How to book a counseling appointment?
To schedule an appointment, send an email to counseling@unisannio.it using your institutional email address.

Sessions are held in person, in a private and confidential setting.

What if counseling is not enough?
At the end of the counseling process, the NUVOLE center staff, together with the student, will assess whether it’s appropriate to continue with psychotherapy, depending on the support needs identified during the sessions.

Both counseling and any follow-up psychotherapy sessions are held in secure, confidential environments.
