Launch of the Call for Universities and Research Institutes 2025

If you’re a student, researcher, or professor working on a highly innovative project, submit it to the Call for Universities and Research Institutes and present it at the 13th edition of Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition, which will take place from October 17 to 19, 2025, at the Gazometro Ostiense in Rome!
Maker Faire Rome, promoted and organized by the Rome Chamber of Commerce, is the event that facilitates and showcases innovation, connecting people and ideas in both physical and virtual ecosystems.
As always, innovation in all its forms will take center stage: from digital manufacturing to the Internet of Things, from robotics to artificial intelligence, from agritech to digital manufactoring, including big data, biohacking, and the latest advancements in the metaverse and augmented reality.
With the Call for Universities and Research Institutes, Maker Faire Rome aims to promote innovation by spreading digital culture and supporting both individual and collective entrepreneurship, rewarding the most outstanding projects from Public Universities and Public Research Institutes.
Projects submitted to the Call will also be eligible to participate in any contests promoted by Maker Faire Rome and/or its partners associated with the Call.
Projects can be submitted .
There are three ways to participate:
- Project exhibition, with the option of a free empty area or a pre-fitted 8-square-meter booth (at a cost of €400);
- Workshop in the new area “” (reimbursement available as per the rules) – NEW FOR 2025;
- Performances, in public and/or virtual spaces – including creative, technological, robotic, or musical shows;
- Talks (these may be scheduled on different dates than the main exhibition event and may be held digitally).
