Spin-off unisannio

The University of Sannio, in accordance with current legislation and the principles established by its own statute and regulations, promotes the establishment of capital companies aimed at the entrepreneurial exploitation of skills and research results such as patents, inventions, products, processes, and methodologies with innovative content. This includes the possibility of creating research spin-offs in order to interface university research and business, exploring mutual opportunities for development and connection, including relationships with entities outside the University that specialize in supporting technology transfer activities.
A research spin-off is essentially an innovative enterprise, established as a capital company, that originates from the initiative of University structures or personnel. It builds its business on innovative goods and services conceived and developed by leveraging the results of research activities conducted within the University.
To regulate the procedures and relationships between the parties involved, the University of Sannio has adopted its own regulation and established a Spin-off Committee. The regulation distinguishes between spin-offs in which the University holds a direct equity stake ("Participated Spin-offs")—i.e., capital companies in which the University is a shareholder—and those that are authorized but not owned by the University ("Authorized Spin-offs")—i.e., joint-stock or limited liability companies in which the University holds no equity interest.
